ABOUT BIKE WEST
Bike West started as Colley Bike West in 1992 by current owner Bill Williams. It's birth was one of more independence than direct relation as a satellite shop of Colley Ave. Bike Shop in Norfolk. Both independent and operating as a team in quality sales and service for many years. Until the closing of the Colley Ave. Bike shop, where the new and permanent shop name would stem, Bike West.

The term Bike West sparks questions from customers and other who don't understand how "west" has anything to do with a business located 40 min from the Atlantic ocean in Suffolk, VA (Not that far west...). Well the name is more of a cyclist state of mind to "venture west" than anything else.. Many American stories and accomplishments through out the history of this great land have been born in the spirit to travel and explore west of the Atlantic. We encourage our customers through shop rides and trips to experience there own stories through one of the most efficient and healthy means of travel.. The BICYCLE!

The atmosphere and employees at Bike West seem to be a dying art compared to big box stores and the modern online shopping. We pride ourselves in helping people with personal service that seems to be less and less in our technical fast past world. With the addition of our 20x20 outdoors deck over looking the Nansmond river and our new hospitality area, we want our business with you to be and experience that's remembered, not a sale and a number that's forgotten.
